“Hero’s companion” – is a joint Canadian-Ukrainian project, which provides psychological and emotional support to soldiers returned from the ATO zone, as well as to internally displaced persons and children with disabilities by using trained dogs therapists. Specially trained animals help to overcome post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental injuries that result from fighting or stay at the territory of military operations.
